Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a clan of musicians. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, old boleros along with the traditional ballads of ranchero and romance. Ana enjoys Tangos, opera and every form of dramatic performances. Her mother taught her to sing, however she started intensifying her vocal instruction through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. As a student and young professional, she performed with several chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her love and love for music. Ana has also been an ex-member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as an active member of Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, to instill an interest, especially for the young generation to keep this tradition in the present.
